Empowering Youth, Changing Futures
at Jacob's Mission Community Center
Our mission is to provide free, trauma-informed out-of-school programs that help improve school achievement and workforce readiness for at-risk children and youth. We do this through tutoring, extracurricular activities, transition to adulthood programs, mentorship, and essential resources.
Our After School programs keep children safe, inspiring learning, and give working parents peace of mind. They help students grow, thrive and reach their full potential by offering enriching opportunities that support success both in school and in life while also empowering community members to volunteer and make a lasting impact on the lives of at-risk youth.
School-aged children from at-risk populations find consistency and caring support from volunteers who freely give time and resources to show that Arizona children matter. Our current volunteers and interns have gone through our Trauma Informed Trainings.
Each Semester, we are offer after school Tutoring and mixture extracurricular activity such as dance, art, piano, guitar, yoga and cooking. Giving children and youth opportunities to develop talents and learn new ways to express themselves as they heal.
